10 Mouth-Watering Salted Egg Yolk Desserts In Klang Valley You Should Try At Least Once

Ever since the salted egg yolk croissant craze began, there has been a wide varierty of salted egg-flavoured desserts offered by various cafes around Klang Valley.

I mean, who doesn’t love this sinful treat? The molten center tastes like a luxury, which can almost make your problems go away immediately. Such a pleasure to enjoy it any day, any time!

What’s more, these desserts come in many forms too — runny, buttery, flaky, sweet, savoury — there’s always one that suits your preference.

1. White Sand Cafe

After seeing someone highly recommended White Sand Cafe on Instagram, we thought of giving it a try, and it didn’t disappoint.

The croissant is just perfect — flaky on the outside, doughy on the inside. Meanwhile, the salted egg yolk filling has a custard-like texture which is not too rich.

5. Le Bread Days

We can thank Le Bread Days, a quaint cafe in PJ for breaking the Malaysian internet a few years back when they started the salted egg yolk trend.

The croissants served here taste almost similar like those found in notable boulangerie in Paris — Crispy on the outside, buttery and fluffy on the inside.

Best part is, the honeycomb design on the inside is very even too, which makes the molten salted egg yolk ooze beautifully when you cut into it. However, we’d like to note that the size of the croissants are smaller than usual.
