So you've finished watching a movie at One Utama and it's late at night. The mall is closed and there's no place for you to get a decent food. Well lucky for you, we're in Malaysia. And food is EVERYWHERE. One of my favorite spot in Damansara for late night supper is Lanun Steak in Uptown Damansara. It's located at only a few minutes drive from One Utama but be warned, parking could be very tricky. But for tonight, I have decided to try something new. Lanun has always been my all time affordable Western cuisine of choice. But I was told by a friend that the shop next door offers a much better delicacy. So tonight's menu is Chicken Grill by Yazid Steak House. The food is priced at RM11. You get lots of chicken meat topped with barbecue sauce, some fries, salad and a corncob to go for appetisers. Look great, right? Yes, the portion is a A LOT. Do not order this if you are not hungry. I gotta hand it to them, for a RM11 dish, they put in effort for the decoration alright. Let's get down to the review! To me, it was nothing out of the ordinary. The sauce was filled with too much black pepper that all the other food was bland. As I was eating, I took some salad and fries to get some other taste to wash out the intense taste of the black pepper but to my disappointment, the salad was just empty salad without any mayo or dressing. The only thing that I can enjoy from the dish was the corncob. Overall I would rate this a 5/10. The only good thing about the dish was the portion. If I am to come to Uptown again in the future, I would definitely dine at Lanun over Yazid. #foodporn #malaysia #westernfood #supper #food #foodcritic #taste #chicken #grill #makanmana #jalanjalancarimakan #makan #damansara #uptown #yazidsteakhouse #makanmalam

Their Sizzling Lamb Steak is very yummy and priced around RM15, which is not too expensive. Appropriate with the portion given.
